Privacy policy

Data we do not collect
iToDo contains no advertising or third party analytics SDKs, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not require an account operated by the developer. The developer does not collect your notes, tasks, attachments, device identifiers, usage activity or location through developer-operated servers.
Local storage and iCloud
Your notes, tasks, tags, folders, reminder settings and attachments are first stored locally on your device. When you enable iCloud, iToDo uses Apple CloudKit to sync content to the private database of your current Apple account, keeping your iPhone, iPad and Mac consistent.
Content in the CloudKit private database belongs to you, is accessible only to you by default, and counts toward your own iCloud storage. The developer cannot view these private records through the Apple Developer portal. CloudKit processing is also subject to Apple’s privacy policy and iCloud terms.
System permissions
- Photos and camera: Used only when you choose to take or insert a photo.
- Microphone: Used only when you choose to record an audio attachment.
- Files: Used only to read attachments or backups you choose to import, or to save files you choose to export.
- Notifications: Used only for task reminders you set.
You can turn off these permissions in your device’s system settings. Only the corresponding feature becomes unavailable; other local notes and task features are not affected.
Deletion, trash and backups
Deleted tasks, notes and folders stay in the app’s trash for up to seven days and can be restored during that time. After that, they are removed from active data and the trash. If iCloud is enabled, the deletion state syncs to your private database.
You can export a local backup at any time. You are responsible for keeping backup files safe. If you share, transfer or store them using another app or service, that service’s privacy policy applies.
Data security
iToDo uses Apple’s app sandbox, system permissions and CloudKit capabilities to protect data and limits access to the content needed for each feature. No storage method can guarantee absolute security. We recommend exporting regular backups of important content.
Children’s privacy
iToDo is not intended to collect children’s personal information and does not actively collect any user’s personal data.
Policy updates
If the app’s data handling changes, this policy will be updated accordingly, along with the App Store privacy disclosure when needed.
